Even before opening his firm, Nathan Senn focused on building a practice centered on meeting clients' needs.

Nathan Senn is a native of Laurens, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University for his undergraduate education where earned his bachelor's degree, with honors, in Political Science.   Mr. Senn continued his education at the Charleston School of Law.  While earning his Juris Doctor, he was awarded top honors in trial advocacy.  In addition to his academic work, Mr. Senn clerked with the well-established Charleston firm, Grimball & Cabaniss, LLC, and also worked as a research assistant, aiding in the preparation of Margaret Lawton and Miller Shealy's book, South Carolina Crimes: Elements and Defenses.

After his admission to the South Carolina Bar in 2010, Mr. Senn opened his own firm, practicing primarily family, business and estate law.  Within these areas of the law, the firm has grown to serve a diverse group of clients: from single mothers who need help with child support enforcement to multinational corporations with employees all over the globe.  His work has taken him to boardrooms in Canada and the United Kingdom and to the courtrooms of South Carolina's Circuit, Magistrates, and Family Courts, where he regularly represents clients.  As part of his family litigation practice, he currently works with the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense to represent vulnerable adults and defendant parents who are accused of abuse and neglect by the SC Department of Social Services.

While some conflict that brings people to court is often unavoidable, the law encourages people to come together to find a resolution which avoids the worst consequences of prolonged litigation by mediating their dispute.  Mr. Senn has years of experience counseling clients in the mediation process and has completed extensive training through the S.C Bar to serve as a mediator in both family and probate cases.  He received his certification as a Family Court Mediator from the SC Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification, and is currently the only certified mediator in Laurens County.  By offering mediation services, Mr. Senn helps clients preserve families, restore relationships, and limit the impact litigation can have on children, parents, and spouses.

Mr. Senn plays an active role in the community, serving as Mayor of the City of Laurens.  He was elected in 2019 and has led the City of Laurens through the hardships of a global pandemic and the joys of a generational economic boom.  Prior to his election as Mayor, Mr. Senn will joined the faculty of Presbyterian College as an adjunct, teaching Business Law to upper-level students.  He has offered his professional services to a number of community organizations, including South Carolina Legal Services, a federally funded program which helps provide attorneys for those in poverty. He has also worked to advance the legal education of the next generation of attorneys by participating in Attorney-Student mentoring programs, advising and speaking to student groups, and serving as a judge in local and national moot court competitions.

Mr. Senn is an ordained Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church (USA), previously serving on the Session of Second Presbyterian Church of Charleston, SC, and currently attends First Presbyterian Church of Laurens, SC where he teaches an adult Sunday School class.  He is an avid supporter of Clemson athletics, and playing with his dog, "Ellie."
